When you take a dog-friendly holiday in beautiful Bude and its surroundings with our four-legged friends, one of the best things is seeing the love our dogs have for the sea and the ocean. Thankfully we have a great selection of some of Cornwall’s best beaches right on our doorstep which are great for walks and walks.

This gem has no dog restrictions all year round and is just a stone’s throw from our doors, here on out. Northcott is also home to Sip Sea, known for serving some of the best Cornish cream pies in the area during the summer, perfect for filling up after a long trip to the sea. 

A National Trust with its own moor, Sandymouth is popular with dog breeders as it is dog friendly all year round, although it is not well used due to the steepness of the walk from the car park. Well worth the walk but if you go down again after low tide you can walk all the way to Summerleaze Beach.

It is one of the most popular beaches in Bude because of its accessibility and beauty. Dogs are welcome all year round although they must participate from 21 May to 30 September (10am-6pm). At peak times, they can run without a guide early in the morning or later in the evening.

Crooklets Beach (next to Summerleaze Beach) offers a wide stretch of golden sand and pebble pools to explore at low tide. With ample parking and easy access, as well as being close to many dog-friendly restaurants, it’s a great choice for dog owners in the fall and winter (no dogs allowed from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from May 15 to September 30).

Widemouth Bay is a beautiful beach and very popular with locals and tourists alike! With a large, easily accessible parking lot and several options when it comes to food and drink nearby, it’s a great option for winter dog walking! Dogs are welcome in the low season but are not allowed from Easter to September 30.

Full of wildlife and beautiful views of the countryside, Tamar Lakes is a great place to stroll with your four-legged friends. With the Frog Hopper cafe on site, you can relax and unwind in the beautiful surroundings after your visit. There is also a playground for children.

The former monastery and current family welcomes visitors from late March to October, and has beautiful gardens, gardens, picnic areas and a beautiful tea room. A perfect paradise for dogs and a great day for people too.
