Dog Friendly Resorts Victoria – Like many of you, we have heard a lot about RACV Cobram Resort. It is always mentioned as one of

With people flocking there from all over the country to experience all it has to offer. So when the opportunity arose for us Caravanning family with kids to visit this famous RACV park, of course we were thrilled!

We also wonder if it will live up to expectations and really hope it does after all the hype we’ve heard.

Pet Friendly Caravan Parks

So here’s the bottom line… they don’t call this place a “Resort” for nothing! Vacation is what it is. 10 acres is everything you can think of and more for a family vacation. Nice as a needle and with so much to offer we don’t know where to start and so much to do!

The resort is well maintained and continues to improve over the years. Larger sites with concrete slabs and in a more linear and wider look. There are many trees that provide shade and beautiful corridors. Even the bathroom is 5 stars! My girls love the relaxing spa music that comes in the bathroom and it can’t help but make the five year old giggle every time we go to the bathroom!

There is a cafe by the pool which is open all year round and we really thought it was a trick to have breakfast, hot! With the taste of real coffee (it doesn’t stop!) we are so pleased with these treats and more that we have to “walk” to get there! Everything was perfect, the weather was warm and sunny, the pool was sparkling, the service was friendly and the eggs Benedict were delicious! A great way to start the day!

Although there are many things to do in our area, such as exploring the Murray River, seeing the state cacti, visiting an award-winning brewery, walking Lake Mulwala, or visiting the historic Byramine House, we stayed in the park and enjoyed some great family time. We took the long way as the kids pushed comfortably along the concrete path and really enjoyed what it’s like for kids on bikes or wheels! (If you don’t have bikes either, they can be rented, or you can rent bikes for the whole family!)

Dog Friendly Gippsland

A large playground with jumping cushions and shade provides a full workout and access to the heated pool and spa. The outdoor swimming pool (yes, there are two pools!) had a large area for the kids and plenty of seating for adults who like to relax while they check out. There’s also tennis, a full basketball court, a gym and a large games room – we were so busy enjoying the activities that we didn’t have time to blink!

The grounds are well maintained but what impressed me most was the excellent location of the RACV Cobram Resort. While other parks can seem dark or disturbing, this place boasts grass and open spaces, and the whole feeling is peaceful because of it.  This is a real holiday park design.  One of the main advantages of this restaurant is that the staff and the campsite are pet-friendly, which means you can bring your dog (provided it is on a leash)! One cabin will also be a petting zoo in mid-2020.

Although it is a large park, the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed having everything in one place. So what can we say? RACV Cobram Resort is a beautiful resort. This ‘pampering park’ exceeded its name and expectations – we will be back soon!
