Best Dog Friendly Glamping

Best Dog Friendly Glamping – One of my most frequently asked questions is if the places I visit around Texas are dog friendly! So I’ve teamed up with my friends at Hipcamp to feature a few of my favorite pet-friendly spots near Austin. And if you’re new to Hipcamp, you can sign up here for $10 off your first stay!

One of my favorite things about Hipcamp is that they have a “pet allowed” filter that you can set when searching for campsites and spots on their website or app. Which makes it easy to find pet-loving glam!

Is this the last treehouse glam spot in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Page, Texas, The Hobbit Treehouse is a jungle escape. As you can imagine, the place is themed with Lord of the Rings, with a lot of small decorative pieces to bring the Shire to life.

🐾 At Wildhaven, We Believe That The Best Memories Are Made With Your Whole Pack By Your Side. That’s Why We’re Proud To Be Dog-friendly At Both Wildhaven Sonoma And Wildhaven Yosemite!

And, best of all, they’re one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll find. In fact, the owners live nearby and their two dogs wander around the yard and maybe stop by the treehouse to say hello!

There is no Wi-Fi here, but there is a grill, a toilet, a shower and a small refrigerator, so I recommend cooking on site and really opening up. Also, the sound of nature is at its best here, especially with the ‘frog chorus’ that you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that the tree house overlooks.

This modern resort is located outside of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options here at Lucky Arrow Retreat (take $10 off Hipcamp for new users) include yurts, cabins, and cabins, depending on the size of your party and what kind of experience you’re looking for. If you really want to enjoy yourself, yurts are perfect for you, like the one in the picture.

Each is suitable for two guests and has access to a shared bathroom nearby. For other hotel-like properties, there are Courtyard Houses, Breezeway Cabins and Porch Houses, which sleep up to four guests and have their own bathroom.

Although the property is dog and cat friendly, there is a $150 fee per pet, which you can do when you book at the Hipcamp check-out (which will also ensure you are placed in one of the pet-friendly rooms).

If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a converted container, the FlopHouze hotel in Round Top, TX is what you’re looking for. Sit by the fire and enjoy some amazing stargazing, take a dip in their swimming pool and go downtown for antique shopping.

If you really want to party, book your appointment at the Round Top Antiques Fair (just book early because people come from all over!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!

Located near Bastrop, The Preserve at Greenleaf has four luxury yurts to choose from. However, if you bring your pet, their yurt of choice is the Copper Lily ($10 off Hipcamp for new users).

Pet-friendly Cabins In Vermont

The apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests and comes with amenities such as a private bathroom and access to a lift. They also offer guided tours for an additional $25 at checkout. They also have things like kayak rentals available upon request!

3232 Ranch offers unique Texas Hill Country lodging with cabin rentals, air-conditioned tents, RV sites, camping, and even a gypsy wagon ($10 off HipCamp for new users). The site is also conveniently located in Johnson City about 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, so it’s great if you want to hike and explore the park during your stay.

I really like the bird house, very small carrier room, although I would have made it more private (+ dog). It’s too small! However, if you are looking for something bigger, cabinets are a good option. At the time of this writing, their glam tents do not allow dogs.

It is always a good idea to check which rooms in each property allow pets, as sometimes not every room is available and the rules can change!

GLAT Austin, located on Lake Bastrop, features luxury tents that sleep 3-6 guests, depending on the tent you choose ($10 off HipCamp for new users). They also have several rooms that have their own hot tubs, among other things like fire pits that every room on the property has.

Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, Texas is the perfect place to stay if you want to go to the summer! Their accommodations range from cabins, tipis, tents, and cabins to RV sites and tent sites (earn $10 from Hipcamp for new users). You can stay by the pool, take a cabana on the nearby Guadalupe River, catch a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.

If you filter by pets allowed, you will see that they have several ways to accommodate dogs, such as their kennels (my favorite), their kennels and some of their kennels.

One of my favorite things about Mystic Quarry? Located on 10 acres, with amenities such as beach volleyball, lawn games, community pool, walking trails, bocce courts, dog pool and dog parks and more. You can read more about their dog policy here.

Discover Dog-friendly Rentals, Cairns

I think we can safely say that we are living in the golden age of glamping. It seems like a new glampsite or startup opens every five minutes these days.

But while the beauty is a big hook, many accommodations do not allow dogs – information that is often buried deep in the Terms and Conditions page. (Has anyone else gone crazy trying to find hotel pet policies?)

As we start planning our summer vacation in 2020, I’ve been looking for a lot of great places and wanted to make a list of dog-friendly ones to share. Whether you’re looking for a cabin, a cabin or a luxury safari tent, we’ve got you covered.

Collective Retreats currently has five beautiful locations around the country, but the Yellowstone location has truly stolen our hearts. One hour from Yellowstone National Park, this resort offers fly fishing and horseback riding in beautiful scenery. Safari tents are equipped with lights, high quality reading mats and s’mores kits. Find their fine print under “Pricing & Policies”.

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning an Airstream (guilty!), Autocamp is for you. And with sleek interiors and Ursa master bathrooms, the Airstreams aren’t just your hippie uncle’s old wagon. The best part is that these camps are located near hot spots like Cape Cod, Yosemite, Sonoma and Santa Barbara. More about their (many) dog principles here.

For relaxing life on the beach, it doesn’t get much better than Huttopia. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing or relaxing by the pool at this rustic retreat. Vaccinated dogs are welcome – under ‘prices’ here.

Whether these tiny cabins are as cute is up for debate, but we love that they’re LEED-certified, have private fireplaces, and offer easy access to Jackson Hole. Choose Fireside’s Jeep rental package to get the most out of your stay. Dogs are welcome in some homes. Read more here.

For a great look, you can’t beat Paws Up. The 37,000-acre property offers all types of accommodations, but luxury tents are the most popular. Puppies will love the Pet Pack, which includes a meet and greet with the owner’s dog, local grooming assistance and a dog-friendly walking map, as well as a bed, bowl and ball. See all the puppy facts here.

Dog Friendly Camping & Accommodation

We’ve blogged about our love of getaway cottages in the past, and we’re on the lookout for Portland’s newest spots for 2020. They’re the perfect way to escape to nature while staying warm and dry. And how amazing is the bed’s signature window? Dogs are allowed for a fee – more here.
