Best Western Plus Way Station and Mariposa Lodge allow up to two dogs per room rental (80-pound maximum), while River Rock Inn offers dog-friendly rooms and a brick patio to enjoy your latte on-site from Stix Coffee.

Located 35 miles from the National Park’s Arch Rock entrance, the Midpines gem is cool in its own unique way. Bug Rustic Mountain Resort sounds like a clarion call with true confidence to travelers from around the world that includes June Bug Cafe and Health Spa.

Further up Highway 140, the last stop before entering the park is El Portal.  Here, the Merced River Canyon narrows and you can feel the magic around the bend. Note: The Merced River can be fast flowing in spring/early summer, so use caution when visiting its banks.
