The cottage is spacious and beautiful with a mix of updates and original features in our opinion. Very comfortable and welcoming. Walk up the hill for a few minutes and you are at the beach on the water. When the sun shines through and reflects off the flowers and rocks of the beach, it’s sublime. In the area, we spent hours walking around Point Lobos. It is unbelievable. Looking at the sheep and grounds of the Mission Inn. Ahhh And much more… We will definitely be back. The host was great. Your home was beautifully decorated and super clean, had everything we needed to cook and was so comfortable for us. A short walk to the beach made it very easy to get back and forth. There were such cute little houses in the neighborhood, we enjoyed our evening walks. We loved it so much that we are looking at our calendars again to book it again.

Beautiful views from the top of the mountain. A plain and simple country house. It could use an upgrade on mattresses and furniture, or a nice place to stay.
This was our second visit to the donut house above Carmel. A very different experience this time with no foggy light but we had beautiful views of Carmel. The house is well furnished and Lou is very responsive to questions. We love the peace and quiet and spend days at the beach, then sit back and enjoy the views, then eat fabulous meals in Carmel and Monterey. It always comes back to nice, soft sand. This is a very special house. It’s about the location, on a private road with panoramic views of the Carmel coast. Transportation and entertainment. The house could use some TLC but we loved it. I highly recommend this home for nature lovers who want to get off the beaten path but still a short drive to town.

This home’s outdoor space is less a patio than a panoramic ocean view. If it wasn’t private property, it’s easy to imagine lots of cars stopping and people taking pictures.
With large windows on both sides, guests can enjoy stunning mountain and ocean views. Each of the three bedrooms has a king size bed. In addition to the beautiful views, this single-level home is perfectly located to enjoy Big Sur as it is located on the main road, near Carmel-by-the-Sea and by the road.
We loved the great views of the ocean and coast from this location. We were lucky enough to see shorebirds every day. We saw whales in the distance, dolphins and seals close to shore. We were also lucky enough to see condors almost every day. The decor and furnishings were comfortable and attractive. The mattresses, bed linen and bath towels were of good quality. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the reliable Wi-Fi since cell service is limited. William was a great host. Thank you.
