Katy Trail Ice House is located on the trail where you can stop and grab a frozen margarita and dinner in the large outdoor dining area. It’s my favorite dog friendly restaurant in all of Dallas!

While you won’t find any amazing hikes in Dallas, Cedar Hill Nature Preserve is a great place to get away. Less than 20 minutes from downtown, you’ll find 600 acres and over 9 miles of trails. It’s a great place to look for butterflies, birds, or post-hike hikes. Non-profit organization with donations!
When you’re done strolling the quaint streets and window shopping in downtown Grapevine, take your kids to the lake for a swim.

Bring your kids, rent a paddle board with Backwoods Paddle Sports and head down the Trinity River. You’ll be in the heart of Fort Worth with views of the surrounding city! After the rental, the staff will explain the different route options and you will be on your way.
