Rich in history and the site of Abraham Lincoln’s childhood, Lincoln State Park offers more than 10 miles of hiking trails, rolling hills, and two lakes. Dogs can explore this state park with you. You can see the Lincoln Boyhood National Monument, a pioneer farm, the site of Lincoln’s cabin, the grave of Abraham Lincoln’s mother, and the Historic Trail of the Twelve Stones. Want to stay all day? You can camp at this state park! It was nice to spend the night.

In over six years of RVing with pets, when I think of the one place that surprises me the most, it’s the Chalk Pyramids in Kansas. Not many tourists know about this destination, but now the secret has been revealed! At the western end of Gove County, Kansas lies Monument Rocks. It is a series of large chalk formations known as the Chalk Pyramids. Dogs are allowed on leashes and you will feel like you are on another planet. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Being from Florida, we love being at the beach! But after visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore with Brickle and Digby, I can now understand lake life! Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has miles of sandy beaches and cliffs rising above Lake Michigan. Like many areas, there are some beaches that don’t allow dogs, so ask the friendly park staff, get a map, or search online. We discovered that there were more places for Brickle and Digby to go on the shores of this beautiful lake than we expected. But please note that dogs are not allowed on the dunes for safety reasons.
Your dog will feel as tall as Paul Bunyan when you take him to Bemidji, Minnesota! This was truly an interesting stop on our trip. Your dog will enjoy strolling the green grass and park grounds, watching the horses and carriages go by and relaxing with a picnic. Leashed dogs can explore the park and hike the Riverfront Trail.

After walking and exploring, sit under the trees at Sarah’s Vineyard with your dog. As with any park, check a national park’s pet restrictions before visiting.
Custer State Park is a South Dakota state park and wildlife refuge in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Custer State Park is famous for its bison herds, scenic byways, historic sites, resorts, and campgrounds. Pet-friendly Cabins In Midwest
For the base, mix all the ingredients and leave in a warm place for an hour. Roll out the dough and spread it on a baking sheet, cast iron or deep pizza pan. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake the base for 15 minutes and remove from the oven. Place cheese and garnishes on top of crust and pour tomato sauce mixture on top. Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes. Let cool completely before feeding to your dog.
