About the only theme park with a petting zoo outside of Melbourne is Crystal Brook Theme Park. The park is located in Doncaster East on Melbourne’s northeastern edge.

Pets are allowed in designated rooms on the grounds and on site. Choose between a dedicated family home or Hillside Villa tower with up to six beds or a standard home that sleeps four.

Each room has its own bedroom and private bathroom. Additional pet fee of $25 per stay applies. There is even an outdoor lounge with fitness classes at the edge of the park.

It’s only 90 minutes from central Melbourne to Daylesford and Daylesford Holiday Park, where pets are welcome all year round. Pets are allowed in both the passenger and the camp, as well as in the house, which is good for their pets.

The house is not far from several off-road dog beaches – either west between parks 1 and 6 along Golden Beach or east to Paradise Beach.
