Dog Friendly Resorts Washington – There’s something about January that makes me sit down on my calendar and plan more trips for the coming year. It’s cold and dark outside, and curling up with your laptop and planning some adventure feels incredibly satisfying.

Even though we’ve put major international travel on hold during the pandemic, we still wanted to reacquaint ourselves with the Seattle area and all of its amazing (and dog-friendly!) ). After ten years in NYC and Chicago, it’s fun to go back and rediscover old favorites, along with all the new trendy glamping sites, boutique hotels, and unique Airbnbs that have popped up in This. And most of all, I love seeing how many of them embrace dog-friendly options for your vacation. I’m so glad we were able to take Dave and Lizzie on vacation.

Bring your best friend to enjoy the magic of wine country at one of our favorite resorts in the area. We have been vacationing at Sagecliff since 2015 and it has never really disappointed us. Hiking in the Columbia River Gorge, wine tasting, and sweeping views make this an absolutely dreamy getaway. Below are details about their policy.

Captain Whidbey is at the top of my travel “bucket list” for 2022. With recent coverage in publications like Vogue, this beautifully restored historic inn has been popping up all over the feed my Instagram feed and I’d love to take a trip. Walla Walla is one of the best wine regions in the country with over 120 wineries, so I honestly can’t think of a better place to spend a few days. I’ve been bookmarking this modern city hotel for a while now as it looks like the perfect base camp for a weekend in the snow or a weekend of boozing. Or both! 9 Dog-friendly Washington State Cabin Rentals

We’ve blogged before about how much we love Getaway’s tiny houses, and we’re checking out the new location in Skagit Valley. They are a great way to get out into nature while still staying warm and dry. And how incredible is that signature bed window? Dogs are allowed for a fee – details here.

Truly, Coho Oceanfront stole my heart with these riverside fire pits. Although this Oregon Coast Lodge is a bit of a drive from Seattle, its sleek modern interior and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean make it well worth the drive. My New Year’s resolution is to book a vacation to St. Peter’s Dream Lodge. Edwards as soon as possible – this should be easy as it’s only a half hour drive from the city. This historic landmark seminary has been restored into a magnificent and beautiful retreat on 326 acres of trails right on Lake Washington. Alternatively, unwind after a day of sightseeing at Cedar + Elm with a trip to their spa or some Pacific Northwest cuisine. Detailed information about dogs here

We spent a wonderful weekend at The Lodges in January 2020 at Vishon – and blogged about it here – and the memories are carrying me through the first few months of lockdown. These 570-square-foot design apartments offer amenities such as private terraces, fireplaces, and soaking tubs. Plus, it’s the perfect base camp for exploring Washington Island’s beautiful beaches and hiking trails. I’ve long dreamed of stepping into one of these famous A-frames, and I’m determined to do it this year. Song Tay Cabin Company offers three different luxury A-frame cabins, nestled in the heart of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and all three accept pets for a fee. But word to the wise – booking can be difficult as each of their amazing Insta posts gets thousands of likes. Pet information is listed below for each cabin.

We spent a lovely Easter weekend in Semiahmoo in 2019 and I’m looking forward to returning to the stunning scenery and remote beaches that Lizzie loved to explore. Just a short distance from the Canadian border, this cozy resort is the perfect base camp for the great hiking and stunning coastal scenery of Northern Washington. They are very dog ​​friendly and dogs are welcome with bowls, beds and (at least during our visit) some souvenir shopping. Detailed information about dogs here

Anacortes is one of my favorite routes from downtown. Drive half an hour north of Seattle to this quaint seaside town, full of charming shops, delicious cafes, and waterfront views. (Watermark Book Co. is one of my favorite bookstores in Washington!) And we absolutely love the city’s famous inn, The Majestic, for its cozy rooms and great patio bar upper. I love a unique escape and Winthrop’s Rolling Hits certainly provides that. These tiny houses were designed by Seattle-based Olsen Kundig Architects as a modern alternative to camping. This luxury resort on the Hood Canal boasts that it’s been hosting the Pope since 1913, and with a menu full of Fido-friendly amenities, we can believe it. Make memories by renting a kayak, hiking the trails or just enjoying the scenery. Read your dog’s diet here.

Okay, so it’s not technically available yet, but we’ve signed up for notifications to reserve our spots the second these gorgeous camping trailers launch at Olympic National Park. I’m obsessed with the gorgeous new waterfront suites at the historic inn on Orcas Island, which feature private balconies overlooking the bay. I could already see myself there with a book covered. If you haven’t heard of Tentrr then you’re missing out. We’ve stayed with them twice (in Vermont and on a trip to Maine that we blogged about here) and each trip has been wonderful. They essentially pitch luxury safari tents on unusual private land like this beautiful fruit farm near Meade, Washington. You can also choose to pay a little extra to have one of their fruit cakes delivered to your location or some fresh eggs from their farm for a delicious meal out. Sure, Idaho is a short drive from Seattle, but we’d be driving a lot to get to this Hawaiian vantage point. Plus little details like the on-site sauna and antique coffee grinder really melted my heart. Pets are allowed, but by deciding to take the stairs, you’ll have to decide whether this is a fun vacation for you or not.
