• Alpenhof Lodge: Two pets up to 50 pounds, with an additional fee of $30 per pet per night. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

• In the Creek: A maximum of two pets are allowed; A $25 per day fee is added to the room rate.

• King Snow Resort: No weight limit or breed restrictions; Maximum of two pets per room. Pets are only allowed in hotel rooms and not condo units.

Pets should not be left alone in your hotel room. We recommend Spring Creek Animal Hospital and Happy Tails Pet Resort at DogJacks.

Grand Teton National Park Rental Cabins

You can also find pet-friendly places in Grand Teton National Park like Jackson Lake Lodge & Cottages, Colter Bay Village Cabins & Tent Cabins, as well as campgrounds and RV parks.

When traveling in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, a good rule of thumb is that pets can go anywhere (roads, campgrounds, picnic areas) as long as they are on a leash. Dogs are not allowed on unpaved trails in either park, limiting visitors’ hiking and day trips when visiting the area.

Many restaurants/cafes around Jackson have dog-friendly patios during the summer months, such as Cafe Genevieve, Cowboy Coffee, Cutty’s Bar and Grill, Silver Dollar Bar and Grill, Bubba’s Bar-B-Q, and Sidewinder’s Tavern.

Favorite places to exercise your dog include Emily’s Pond on the Snake River and south of the Westbank River Levee. These sites are located on both sides of the Copper River – with spectacular views of the Tetons – and can be accessed from HWY 22 as you head toward Teton Village and Wilson. Cache Creek is a great network of trails not far from the Snow King base area and is one of the most popular places for locals and visitors to take their dogs for a walk. You can also head to the Gros Ventre National Forest to take you and your dog swimming at Slide Lake. View a map of Jackson Hole’s pet friendliness.

There are sites throughout the valley, including Bridger Teton National Forest, that have campgrounds and give your dog some free range. However, for the safety of your dog and the animals, it is important that you keep your dog inside and under control at all times.
