Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, Basin Harbor believes that a family vacation is incomplete without four-legged family members. Their pet policy allows well-behaved dogs of any size in the cabins for a daily fee of $20 per pet. To order online, you can select one of the homes and then add a payment for the pet.
This resort has everything you need for a perfect holiday without leaving its huge 700 hectares. Choose from a range of activities that will be fun for the whole family, from land to lake. The guest pool and water are pet-free areas, but dogs have their own designated swimming area at Fanny’s Beach. We were even able to hire a sailboat to go out on the lake with Roscoe! You can also dine at one of the resort’s five restaurants. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room, but they can eat with you in the comfortable seating area behind Red Mill. Dog walking and dog sitting services are also available if you want to have fun without Fido.

The Field Guide Lodge in Stowe is an elegant boutique hotel managed by Lark Hotels. Like many of their properties, their pet policy allows dogs under 70 pounds for an additional $50 per dog per day. We stayed in one of the three apartments in the dog cottage, which are perfectly located and have their own outside entrance. You can reserve these figures online, just make sure to add a note with the amount, size and name of the dog during the transaction. Dogs cannot be left alone in the guest room. Out of respect for other guests, dogs on a leash are only allowed on the hotel’s terraces and outside common areas.

This hotel has an elegant, chic cabin decor. The lobby lounge, comfortably furnished with retro wood stoves and cool fireplaces, invites you to curl up with a book or a board game. You can have breakfast in the café bar in the lobby or have drinks and snacks in the new vintage ski themed Après Only bar. The outdoor hot tub needs to be reserved in advance, which is a bit inconvenient. But the advantage is that you are guaranteed. And the location can’t be beat. We could walk through the city center, and the mountain bus stops right in front of the hotel. It’s the perfect base for you and your dog on your Vermont adventures.
The Inn at Mountain View Farm is a very special place to stay in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Their pet policy allows dogs for $50 per night in select rooms: Peacham, Danville, N. Danville, Maidstone and Lost Nation. To book a room online, you can select the “Pet Friendly” option. The facility is so pet-friendly that there is a friendly golden retriever at the reception, and there is even a shelter for animals. Just keep in mind that your dog reacts to other animals!
We stayed in the Deluxe Peacham room which was nice but comfortable. Roscoe especially loved sleeping by the wood burning fireplace. In the morning, we were greeted with cakes and hot coffee in the main building of the inn. Just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more, the host brought out their famous pancakes with fresh farm blueberries. we couldn’t resist.
This historic 400 acre farm on an undisturbed northeast ridge is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. It’s worth getting up early in the morning to see the sunrise, in pastel pinks and purples. fog in the morning on the mountains and in the valleys.

There are no restrictions on size, weight, breed or number of animals, no additional deposits or fees. When ordering online, simply filter by pet-friendly and fill out the pet-friendly form at checkout.
The Kimpton Taconic is truly the perfect place to pamper your dog. Rooms include food bowls, toys, treats and an Orvis dog bed. (The main Orvis store down the street is a must visit with your dog). Dogs are allowed in the lobby and front dining room of the hotel’s Copper Grouse restaurant. During the colder seasons they have outdoor heaters to keep both you and your dogs warm.
