Dog Friendly Motel Kiama – It is one of the largest tourist-friendly options in Australia, and most travelers allow dogs to stay in the parks. Caravan parks also have many facilities such as swimming pools and playgrounds, which are great for holidays with children.
However, most tourist cabins in Australia do not allow dogs in their cabins, although they do allow dogs in their areas. If you have a trailer or a motorhome or even a tent, this makes it more difficult.

If you’re looking to stay in a cabin with your dog in New South Wales, I’ve put together a list of great pet-friendly cabins in New South Wales. Most are located in county parks, some are just garden cottages. While not comprehensive, we hope to give you some ideas of where to go with your bed on your next vacation.

Caravan parks near Sydney don’t allow care, so there aren’t many friendly cabins near Sydney. Check out these options within a two-hour drive of Sydney.
Two hours south of Sydney to Gerringon, south of Kiama. An excellent companion is the Wherry Beach Holiday Park. In addition to allowing entertainment, the park also has two double rooms for travelers.
Direct reservations are required when reserving a cabin with a dog. Please note that dogs are allowed in the park outside of peak school periods and NSW holidays.
Kiama Downs Vacation Rentals & Homes
One of the best things about staying with your dog at Wherry Beach Holiday Park is that it is located opposite Wherry Beach, which has an off-road section. There is also an outdoor park and dog friendly Kiama beach walk.
Recently, the second Kiama Beach holiday park managed by Kiama Council has started allowing care in some of its rooms. Book a 2-bedroom cabin at Surf Beach Vacation Park for an additional $25 per night.
The park is only a short walk from the center of Kiama and the famous Blowhole. But note that the nearby beach does not allow dogs on the sand, although the Kaleula Reserve has a dog-friendly one.
Exceptions must be made directly to the park by calling or emailing them. As with Wherry Beach Holiday Park, care is allowed outside peak seasons.
Kiama Motels At The Best Price
If you head north from Sydney, there is Blacksmith Beach Holidays Park, a dog-friendly county park between the Central Coast and Newcastle. I put up a tent in the company before in the garden, but there are also two dog cabins.
For luxury, the cabins also have a dog door leading to a covered deck, plus a dog bed and water bowl. It is best to check the rules before you book, as some types are prohibited. But there are no restrictions at peak times.
The park is a short walk from the Blacksmith’s Beach and a short walk (or long walk) to the dog beach just north of town. There is a dog bath on site.
Pokolbin is two hours from central Sydney, depending on traffic, but still close enough to be private with your dog. If you’re looking for a family friendly cabin in Hunter Valley, look no further than Hunter Valley Vacation Rentals.

These pet-friendly cabins are located in caravan parks along the New South Wales north coast, from Port Stephens north to the Queens border. They are perfect for a trip along the New South Wales coast or for a relaxed holiday, ideally on one of the New South Wales beaches.
There aren’t many friendly cabins around Port Stephens, but there is a caravan friendly park area at BIG4 Bays Holiday Park in Anna Bay, which unfortunately doesn’t allow for care during the peak periods, New South School holidays. Until the end of the week.
Dogs are also allowed in selected cabins and on the trails. Choose from two bedroom, studio and Betty cabin cabins, or the Daisy Deck Caravan or Ruby Retro Caravan cabins. The park is a short walk from the dog area of Birubi Beach, or the calm waters of Port Stephens at Bagnall Beach in Corlett. There is also a free dog bath on site.
The twin cities of Forster-Tuncurr are a great place to meet your dog. There are plenty of dog-friendly beaches and resorts, plus a few pet-friendly cabins where you can stay close by.
One of the state parks that offers tourist friendly cabins is Laney’s Holiday Island on the lake in Forster. It is commonly recommended among dog owners that pets are allowed in select kennels. Choose from family guest houses, villas and cabins, sleeping four to five guests. Check if the bedding comes out.
Up to two treatments are allowed per reservation, and there are no time restrictions. Come early if you want to spend summer vacation with your dog!

Another great dog friendly park in Forster-Tunkuri is Discovery Parks – Forster, which is located in the northern town near the Daravank River. Dogs can sit in the park all year round, in selected areas and in selected booths.
Cabins where dogs are allowed are clearly marked on their site. See the “Dogs” symbol. Even the Deluxe River Resort allows pets! Please note that an additional charge applies and that usually only one dog is allowed per booking, although if you have two puppies please check with management.
The park also has plenty of dog-friendly options (families also love the fresh outdoor resort-style pool and water park). There is a fenced and shaded dog park, a self-service dog wash and dry service (fee), and every Sunday at 8am. m. Discovery Barks is available.
Further north, Diamond Water Caravan Park is located 40 minutes south of Macquarie on the Camden Haven River, near Laurieton. It is a beautiful place surrounded by bush and allows dogs all year round, although it is not allowed to keep cats as local animals.

A very popular park for travelers with pet owners is Reflection Parks Muni Beach, north of Coffs Harbour. Dogs are welcome all year round at this public park, both in select rooms and cabins.
Dog-friendly cabins include Premium 4-Person Cabins, Premium 5-Person Cabins, Economy 6-Person Cabins, and the new Mini Cabins for dog companions. Dog friendly options are clearly listed.
The park is located next to Muni Beach, which is dog friendly and has a convenient doggy bath on site. If you’re staying a little longer, there’s plenty to do with your dog in Castle Harbour.

Home to Woolgool, Lake Woolgool Lake Park, just down the road from Coffs Harbor and Muni Beach. Pets are welcome in the park most of the year, from December 20 to January 14, as well as the Easter weekend.
In addition to pet-friendly accommodations, guests can stay in three types of cabins: Water View Villas (pet-friendly only), such as the old Banksia Cottages and Lake View Cottages. Each cabin can accommodate five people.
