Dog-friendly Places In Cornwall
When you think of Prince Edward County, we’d bet Sandbanks Provincial Park comes to mind first, with its sandy beaches and beautiful dunes. Although most of the park is not open to pets, there are some exceptions.
Dogs are welcome at Sandbanks Beach (also known as Richardson Beach) and part of Outlet Beach. These areas are full of sunflowers in summer weather, so make sure your dog is well behaved and friendly before bringing them here. If they are not comfortable with strangers, children and other dogs, this is not the place for them.
Another option is Wellington Rotary Beach, a small rocky/sandy beach on Wellington’s main street. Dogs can be rented here, but the same precautions as above apply: it’s a lot of space and your dog needs to be friendly and socialized before coming here.
