Dog Friendly Resorts Key Largo

Dog Friendly Resorts Key Largo – After a year full of pivots and perseverance, it’s kind of comforting to know that one of South Florida’s best trails can be loved. That’s because Bungalows Key Largo has seen its own share of layoffs over the past 19 months, a stretch more challenging than the frustrations associated with an all-out disease — spread across the 11.5 acre piece of paradise, the first of its kind – all inclusive, adults only. Properties in the Florida Keys.

About halfway through the year, a major fire destroyed the Beach House – the hub of the resort, which includes everything from its restaurant offerings to the “Living Room” common area on the second floor overlooking to the bay for breakfast in the morning, watching TV on the big screen or listening to a DJ at night. After a multi-million dollar construction, Key Largo Bungalows welcomed guests in December 2019 – only to close its doors at the end of March due to COVID-19 lockdown orders.

But what won’t kill the business will make it stronger. Since opening in June, the mojo of the bungalows has returned, allowing the discerning to escape and escape in the beautiful gardens of this largest oasis on the Ocean. -Gulf of Mexico.

Marina Del Mar Resort And Marina In Key Largo, The United States From $88: Deals, Reviews, Photos

The “bungalows” in the title aren’t just commercials. The pet-friendly resort has only one apartment, 135 in total, including 31 with river views. Garden villas are smaller at 1100 square feet (compared to 900 square feet for the waterfront), but the atmosphere in both options is light and easy with Key West accents. . Adding to the cool are old-school porches and Adirondack chairs, a pair of Huffy bicycles from the 1950s for navigating the property, and outdoor showers and fountains. In the gardens, the outdoor space is thrown under swaying palms and waving leaves; In the river sections, guests can sit in the pool while enjoying the ocean views.

The overall dining experience is less than inspiring in some ways, but small establishments beat this idea to bay with some chef-led restaurants – with friendly and responsive service. Fish Tales, with second floor and ground floor seating overlooking the docks, is an all-day bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The final menu goes to pasta (including frutti di mare, a seafood dish with mussels, clams, shrimp, squid and fish) and a portion of cured meats, usually beef, chicken and new types of hunting. Sea Señor (out of season) offers lunch and dinner on the beach. Bogie & Bacall’s, which requires a $300 per couple reservation, is the scene-stealer — a steakhouse-style showpiece. Along with cuts of meat and a variety of steak sauces and toppings, the main course is the whole barbeque, duck breast in red wine reduction, and pappardelle pasta in olive oil and shaved black currants. Note to dessert lovers: Don’t miss the classic chocolate idea – warm chocolate soup, raspberry coulis and sauce anglaise.

Enjoy a cocktail hour on the terrace of Hemingway Bar, next to Bogie & Bacall’s, with its Art Deco design and Cuban tiles reminiscent of the famous author’s Key West home. During non-epidemic times, the Sunset Tiki Bar serves as a social space for visiting guests, but the accommodations are preferred during these remote times. Take your small group out to sea on one of two floating pickup boats—the SS Margarita or the SS Rum Runner—which are smaller versions of the main pickup bar with your own boarding. Waiters also roam the infinity pool and hot tubs, ready to deliver your food or drink order.

It’s not just about the cocktails and food offerings in the buildings. Guests can start their day with a workout in the outdoor fitness center (think peloton bikes, treadmills and free weights) away from the zen pool with lush palms and water. The resort also offers daily yoga classes at Coconut Beach and the Tranquility Lawn. For a more restorative experience, check out the aptly named Zen Garden Spa, an ode to the black bamboo and Buddha statues that make up the outdoor patio. In one of five treatment rooms, guests can choose from a variety of traditional massages and body treatments. The spa has a Himalayan salt treatment room and eucalyptus steam room.
