Camping in Guernsey is one of our favorite things to do, having stayed in our VWT5 bus in Guernsey during our summer holidays for the past two years. With incredible beaches, rich history and wonderful people, the Guernsey campsite is definitely one of the best family holiday campsites.

Fauxquets Valley Campground is located in the heart of Guernsey, making it an excellent base for exploring the beautiful island of Guernsey. Located on the side of the valley, it is positioned away from traffic noise and is 20 minutes walk from buses, bars and restaurants and 1.5 miles from the sandy beaches.

Having stayed at various campsites in France over the years, this campsite has a real French feel and is a popular campsite in Guernsey, and I can see why.

There is a well stocked shop with friendly staff and a heated outdoor pool – a big hit with families! The ablution block is well maintained and clean.

The 10 Best Pet Friendly Hotels In Guernsey (2024)

In the Les Fauxquets Valley there are several options for tents and campsites less than 5m long. You can choose between a standard space of 9m x 6.6m with EHU, or luxury 10m x 10m with extra parking space, extra large 12m x 10m with EHU or walk-out without electricity.

For campers or caravans a standard 9 x 7m with electric option is available. Flat plots of 9×7 m are available, fully equipped with water and electricity. E X-LARGE fully equipped 12 x 7 m.

There are several areas around the campsite, some with shade if that’s your preference. I appreciated that the host allows you to choose your pitch from those available instead of assigning it at check-in. We always try to choose a pitch at the back – a little further back as we feel this is more convenient for us when traveling with a dog!

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in or around the pool area.

The truth is, there is nowhere in Guernsey that is remote! There are so many beautiful beaches just a few minutes drive from the campsite.

There are many places to eat or dine. We love nothing more than fish and chips on the Cobo Bay beach to watch the sunset.

There are so many incredible beaches with white sand and turquoise waters that you will be spoiled for choice. If you’re traveling with a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches too. If water sports are your thing, you’ll love Guernsey! There are many great places to surf, paddle or kayak, or windsurf. I took part in the Guernsey Charity Swim during our last stay! Don’t forget to visit the La Valette swimming pools during your stay too!
