With Sally’s Cottages in Cumbria – the cheapest dog-friendly area according to our data analysis – you should be able to secure a value-for-money stay. It will usually cost an extra £20 to bring your dog (although this varies by lodge) and there are 716 pet-friendly properties to choose from.

The National Trust is a smaller provider with only 296 dog-friendly properties. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in history, quality, and the purity of its features—plus, there’s no extra cost for your furry friends.

The cottage has a comfortable, modern interior and includes a wood-burning fireplace to warm guests; there is enough room for two dogs, which means that larger groups can rent this cottage.
