I’m sure that’s the case with Tim and his friends with Float Eureka. It’s only been five years since they realized it, but with lots of travel, beer and conversations with the right people, good ideas often come. Cut-off when Tim starts going back to Eureka looking for something to buy, Joy doesn’t sell it, but soon enough on the market—and strange things begin to happen.
Check out at 3:00 p.m. We arrived around 4:00pm on Friday and they were at the Gravel Bar that night. I am proud to say that I was the first person to order a glass of wine and I was standing there when they moved the “river” on the bar. This beautiful painting was created by a local artist, you know he is an artist when you see his work, Rusty Creations and Designs by Shaman Hill.
After a glass of wine on the dog-friendly porch, Henry and I headed back to our room. Without much notice from the other guests, he followed me. When I got to my room, I saw a cat sitting on my car. Needless to say, I hoped he would befriend her. He was.
Jinx cat estate and I think he knew the car he parked. I saw Jin a few times during our stay, and I must say he was very nice. It is sociable and friendly, although it is not afraid of dogs, but it does not like to confront them like other cats. Jinx continues his business. You take it for granted.

I would not have made dinner plans in town if I had known that the Gravel Bar was open on Friday nights. As it happened, I promised some customers that I would meet, their well-behaved dogs – to advertise themselves shamelessly – in the joy of the place we enjoyed.
Wanderu offers a shuttle to tourists for $15 a day and since it runs until midnight, Henry and I took advantage of it. After dinner we headed back to the Gravel Bar and although the opening night looked promising, we called it a day. I didn’t want us all to be tired tomorrow morning.
The Wanderum King is small but spacious and comfortable with a large window overlooking the salt water. There are no pictures on the walls, but you will enjoy a small refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and flat screen TV. With one table, two chairs, and one extra chair, there was plenty of floor space for a 12-year-old dog to fall down twice. The bathroom was clean with walk-in showers, crisp white towels, and the king size bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows for a good night’s sleep.

Since there is no breakfast at the Gravel Bar, I gave Henry dinner and after coffee we went to find something to eat. I’m told there’s a food truck across the street in the old high school parking lot, but be warned…go through the this way you keep your angels busy. The breakfast sandwich with homemade sausage was nice, but I don’t believe it was dangerous to life and limb.

We met Rachel from Fleet Eureka at her office, which was the check-in desk at the Joy Motel. Now that the main building has been renovated and there are offices in the front, the businessman is using the space for his business.
Checked in at noon so we did before we left. We asked about keeping our room for one more night, but unfortunately it was full. The luck ran out, but when we returned our item, the cancellation gave us an opportunity. Since this room was not available (everywhere in Eureka has a room), we happily accepted Tim’s invitation for another night. It’s his birthday and the week of his new bar. How can I say no? After complaining about not having enough clothes for the second night, Dusty, the manager even threw in a free t-shirt! FYI. This dress is super soft and has become one of my favorites.
It is 3 in the morning. Saturday afternoon is behind us, the night is ahead, and it’s a good place to relax. It seemed like a good time to take a break. We went into the new room, jumped on the air, turned on the Cardinals game and stopped immediately.
I finally calmed down and realized that I hadn’t planned Henry’s dinner the next day. I had to find food, and that’s the best thing about traveling with a raw dog. If it is not cooked, it will be found on the high-dollar kibble, only obtained through secret purchases from nuns in Australia. In this case, salmon and some green beans work well. So I was able to have some fruit for my breakfast the next morning. Hart’s Family Center was not a fancy store, but it was down the street and served our needs.

After feeding Henry, I washed my new t-shirt from Wanderu and went to work, and we headed to Gravel Bar to see what was going on.
A lot happened and this is a perfect example of a similar service, with friends, family, the first mayor of Eureka Springs, Elvis Presley and his wife, a famous croquet singer. Anyway, Hannah Montana, dressed like Miss Switzerland in military boots and the best red, a school teacher, a few people here, a few dogs, and Jinx looking out on the front porch in front.
Two more birthdays in the house created excitement and fun that night. Homemade cakes and moonshine were shared and laughter abounded. The name changed, but JOY was still there.
Since midnight and the last call has come, they decide to go to the center of Naberezhnye Chelny. Henry and I went back to our room and jumped into the room full of new friends. It was still interesting. Why not now?
