The Uk’s Best Dog-friendly Beaches Revealed

Both Tenby North Beach and Castle Beach are closed to dogs from 1 May to 30 September. Tenby South Beach is the best place to walk your dog on the sand. There are some restrictions to the left of the South Beach parking lot, but the rest of the beach is where your dog is free to roam and play.

Jackson’s Bay is a dog-friendly beach on Barry Island, however please note that Whitmore Bay is closed to dogs from 1 May to 30 September each year.

There are only seven beaches on Anglesey that have dog restrictions. This; Beaumaris, Benlech, Seamas Bay, Llanddonna, Llandduin (Newbrough), Port Dafarch and Tridar Bay. These restrictions apply from 1st May to 30th September every year. See Anglesey Council for more information and maps.
